ABOUT US
Gravelotte Charcoal is far more than a manufacturer — it is the result of a family’s unwavering commitment, grit, and heart. Built from the ground up, the business has grown into the largest distributor of its kind in South Africa, a milestone achieved not through shortcuts or recognition, but through genuine hard work and values that have stood the test of time.
At the centre of the company is an owner who leads by example. He works alongside his team — whether on the floor, in the workshop, or out in the field — never placing himself above anyone else. His wife is the steady, driving force behind the scenes, ensuring every detail is carefully managed and the office runs with purpose and integrity.
Their people are not just employees; they are part of the Gravelotte Charcoal family. The business has always been driven by the desire to improve the lives of their children and the dedicated individuals who work with them each day. They operate with humility, honesty, and the belief that success comes from staying grounded in the basics: respect, responsibility, and doing what’s right.
